We had a terrific showing for Bunco! It was really a kick. I was quite nervous as I had to keep score this time. You would think that would make me an automatic winner but it just didn't turn out that way. Huge heaps and piles of thanks to everyone who came. It was a fun group!
Tomorrow morning we'll be continuing our series on Outflow: Everyday Outreach For Everyday People. What is the most extravagant thing you've ever done? You'd be surprised at some of the things celebrities do. I'll mention some of those.
By contrast, Jesus didn't drive a Lamborghini around. In fact, He drove a donkey into Jerusalem. However, His love for people...wow! That's where He got extravagant.

- At the start of 2009, I accepted a position at Canyon Hills Church in Bakersfield. I'm directing the choir, helping to lead worship, putting the Christmas musical together, and also overseeing the Small Group ministry. Before moving to Bakersfield I worked with my family for a year and a half in Seal Beach. Before this, I worked for 17 years as the Music Pastor for Life Center Assembly in Lakewood. Before that I was a Mobile DJ and encouraged people to get down and get funky with their bad selves...or come over for the cake cutting ceremony.
